Trew Forensic Consulting was started by Kristin E. Trewer. Kristin worked as a crime scene technician for the city of Rochester Police Department in New York for 15 years. During her tenure, Kristin worked multiple police involved shootings, hundreds of homicides, and countless assault shootings, robberies, rapes, and burglaries. She is a subject matter expert in the field of latent finger print examination and motor vehicle collision reconstruction. In addition to working with local, county, and state law enforcement officials, Kristin was also recruited to work with the local branches of the FBI, DEA and ATF, where her skill set was put to use to gather valuable evidence in serious ongoing federal investigations. For the last seven years of her career, on top of her regular work duties, she was the sole motor vehicle accident reconstructionist for the city of Rochester Police Department. She was involved in over fifty fatal motor vehicle accidents as the reconstructionist. Kristin's dedication and passion to find answers and solve problems regarding those involved in the fatal accidents made her seek out and work with multiple agencies including the New York State Police and Monroe County Sheriff's Office. Kristin lives by the motto "if she doesn't know the answer to a question, she will find someone who does".
Due to a work related injury, Kristin had to leave her job with the Rochester Police Department. While recovering, Jennifer Morales, a retired City of Rochester Narcotics Investigator, now a licensed Private Investigator with Cass and Morales Investigative Services, sought Kristin out and hired her to work a Missing Person Cold Case in Oswego County. The Heidi Allen case is an unsolved missing person case, where Heidi Allen is presumed to have been killed. Heidi was 18 years old when she went missing from a gas station on Easter Morning in1994. Kristin, Jennifer and her business partner, Retired New York State Police Investigator Tracy Cass worked tirelessly on the Heidi Allen case with Alex Peebles, Lisa Peebles, and John O'Brien. They processed multiple areas of what appeared to be a large crime scene where Heidi may have been taken by her kidnappers.
